Note to the community from Trêvoid

Service launched ~6 months ago; limited track record use cautiously and follow safe-swapping practices. We've received $1,000 in security deposits from SageSwap after advertising on Bitcointalk. In our next post, I'll explain how our active intermediary system works.

Best regards,
— Trêvoid

With security deposit, I Trêvoid acting as an active intermediary, instead of holding a deposit to be distributed after a disaster, I am integrating the escrow into the workflow.

Batch Execution: By splitting a large transaction into smaller, manageable chunks (for example according to security deposits I have $2,000 - with $10k I split into 5 swaps), I limit the blast radius. If the service stops responding, the remaining pending swaps remain in our control, effectively protecting the user from the full loss.

Addressing the "Exit Scam" Risk: To prevent the scammer from reclaiming their own escrow via fake victims. Since I am the active intermediary, I hold the "source of truth." I do not need to rely on users to report a scam. If anything goes wrong, I will make everything public and create scam accusations.

I believe that active middleman is significantly more effective than traditional escrow. It transforms the security deposit from a penalty fund into a live insurance policy , allowing me to act as a gatekeeper rather than an adjudicator.

The user agrees to send the full amount to avoid misunderstandings and to prevent the use of a higher fee to exchange a smaller amount than planned.

The user may request a Letter of Guarantee upon request, if necessary.

Info: Manual swaps are conducted ONLY above $250.000

I'm sorry, but in that case, you'll have to wait until we finish our technical break. We only process manual swaps for amounts of $250,000 or more.

Smaller amounts can only be processed through our website.

Sage messages on Telegram. I’m not sure what their intentions are, but it could be a scam don’t deposit funds off-site.

Manual swaps for 250k isn't much ?? your thread doesn't mention it.
Did I write somewhere that $250,000 isn't much?

Thread doesn't mention it because we don't process these transactions very often, and about 99.99% of people can't even afford such a transaction, we only process them for people who have large amounts and want to pay lower fees.

When we engage in such exchanges, we focus more on long term cooperation with these individuals.

Also, why is it on manual? And Telegram doesn’t feel safe to use you can delete messages so quickly.

yall niggas be like yeah bro, you can scam us on telegram, like he couldnt scam yall on website ONLY TRU WEBSITE IS SAFE!!!!!!!!!!

what a bums

I answered this question in a previous post.

How would you like us to delete the Letter of Guarantee signed with our PGP key?

So, which is safer? Meeting in person?
I’m just asking about the safety of messaging apps in a calm, straightforward way, but you seem angry. People often say Telegram isn’t safe, while Signal is safer what’s the reasoning?

It could be either do you mean to ask whether they intended it to be safe to use, or whether it just happened to be safe?

I'm not angry.

Is Signal more secure? I don't know about that, you have to provide your phone number, the servers are centralized, it forces you to log in from your phone every two weeks or else it deactivates your account, and probably a lot of other things.

It's not much different from a telegram.

Besides, no one is forcing anyone to use Telegram, we also have Session and email, you can also use PGP key to be safer.

Signal is generally more security-focused than Telegram and uses strong encryption; central servers and phone verification remain, but it’s still safer for most users.
